The Lewis Foundation: How can you help?

Updated: Nov 8, 2020

The Lewis Foundation is a charity who provides care packages to adult cancer patients. I met with Lorraine, Co-Founder & CEO of The Lewis Foundation, at the very beginning of the pandemic and her fast turn around to adapting what adult cancer patients needed was incredible.

About The Lewis Foundation

The award- winning charity founded by Lorraine and Lee was founded when Lee’s mum was hospitalised with cancer. They noticed the loneliness, fear and upset of the cancer patients and became determined to help. This is when the Lewis Foundation was born, the determination to make patients undergoing treatment that little less painful by providing gifts and care packages to cancer patients in numerous hospitals including Milton Keynes Hospital.

Following The Lewis Foundation for quite a while now, i've realised how much they have had to adapt through the pandemic. Covid-19 changed their care packages, and the pandemic didn't stop them from giving them out either - they were recognised on The Sun as 'lockdown heroes'. They also continued their services to those who are undergoing treatment and are classed as vulnerable so have to remain at home.
