Wear Red for Al's Pals

About the appeal

Wear red for AL is on Monday 13th July. On this day all we ask is that you or your business employees wear something red for AL. Red was Alans favorite colour and on this day 2 years ago, Alan sadly lost his life to cancer. His sense of humour and positive outlook has defined what Al's Pals is about. We would like to celebrate his memory and celebrate anyone else that may have lost their lives to cancer by wearing red and donating money for those that are currently experiencing cancer.

How the funding will be spent

All monies raised will go towards providing a positive gift to someone that is going through cancer. We can offer a bespoke gift bag or we could take them in something personal to them. Our aim with this money is to put a smile on their face and make their day slightly better. Previously funds raised has allowed us to purchase gift bags which included lip balms, sweets, journals and a positive card letting them know we are there for them and thinking about them.

How this will benefit the community

The benefit these gifts provide are incredible in boosting morale it can make a person smile on a down day and it let's them know that people are thinking of them. £500 can provide between 25-50 gifts for cancer patients in Milton Keynes. With so many people experiencing cancer let's get together as a community and let them know we are thinking of them by providing a positive gift to brighten their day.
